We developed a 3D printer from scratch, the FABio.
It was designed to be easy to assemble, low cost and yet precise. The machine is part of a bigger project, a workshop where attendees assemble and learn how to use FABio.
At the end of this educational workshop, the attendee has a functional 3D printer and the knowledge about the technology and how to operate and maintenance the machine.
Large printing volume, wide filament possibilities, designed to be upgraded.
The machine is made of 3D printed and laser cut parts.
Based on open source electronics and firmware (Marlin)
Bowden Extrusion system
Laser Cutted and 3D printed structure
200 x 200 x 200 mm printing volume (with heatbed)
LCD display with SD card reader
Mount plate carriage for easy upgrade
Open source Marlin Firmware
0,4mm nozzle for 1,75 mm filament
Layer height from 0,05 mm
After the workshop, the FabLab staff will be available to help the attendees keeping the machine up and running.
